List of Party Participators
AGUA TRIP
One cool evening in Clarksville, Tennessee in 2000, Bill Carrasco and Lindsey Boise decided to form AGUA TRIP. Two years later, they came to New York in search of new scenes and collaborations. Today, Bill and Lindsey have recorded and produced two LPs, Baseado (2001) and Breakfast Translations (2005), and one EP, Agua Trip (2003). They have performed together in contexts swinging from rowdy, dimly lit East Village basement-bars to festive rooftop-gardens and from red-velvety off-Broadway theatres to seductive Brooklyn boudoirs. They are co-creators of The Moveable Feast along with Kyla Barkin and Ginger Burden.
Bill Carrasco is a songwriter and a self-taught musician (guitar, piano, and saxophone). In France, he formed his first band in 1998 called Comfort Zone, a French-Brazilian-Mexican-American band. He has an M.A. in Latin American Literature and a Ph.D. in Semiotics. He is currently working at Barnard College.
Born and raised in a family of musicians, Lindsey Boise learned to play the trombone, the guitar, the bass, the mandolin, and just about everything else from Tennessee to Quebec. He was part of the ska-punk scene in Nashville, playing with The Digits and SuperSloth. He has a B.A. in French and German and currently works as a webmaster, tutor and musician.
Agua Trip is currently promoting their work in every possible venue, bending much of their strength of vision towards the use of their music in conjunction with visual media such as film, dance, video installations, animation and whatever is new. They are continuously composing, recording and performing new songs and they highly value cooperation and collaboration and invite other artists to inquire about the possibilities of working together (i.e. The Moveable Feast!).
They have performed at the Sneak Preview, the Midnight Snack, Pick Up Sticks and Accidental Wilderness.
